My grandson loves this. Sprays high and would be a great gift. I did read the reviews even the ones that were upset with it not shutting off and water getting to the battery compartment rusting it out. I brought it anyways because I did a little trick my grandmother did with battery operated bath toys for me. She would put cling wrap over the batteries after putting them in and close it and it would keep water from the batteries. So I did the same. When I took the toy out of the tub it automatically shut off under a minute, did not keep running. Btw, it was pushed under water many times and it kept working, didn’t have to shake water out. I had to write this review just to give you guys this tip, hope you find it helpful for this bath toy and any other toys.

Who doesn’t like having to unscrew difficult screws and remove batteries after your kid’s bath and then add the batteries back and rescrew in those same difficult screws before the next bath? I guess if your kid never takes bath, that isn’t so bad. So, as you can imagine, I have largely given up on dealing with the screws and batteries and the toy since it is a huge pain.
I wondered why they were so sweet to include a screwdriver for a “one time operation”. Now I know it is to make up for a terribly flawed design. I guess it is pretty cheap but seriously, on/off buttons people! I mean, on/off buttons have only been around for I don’t know… a century…. Ironically, my baby could have designed a better toy.
